Project Description
As part of LibertyHealth’s plan to expand and enhance Meadowlands Hospital, a project was initiated to develop a larger, more modern, and patient-friendly emergency department. The redesign includes a new emergency room drop-off, reception and waiting areas, treatment rooms, a nurses’ station, an ambulance unloading area, and an administrative office and support area. Additionally, a new main entrance for the hospital is proposed. The expanded emergency department will significantly increase the current ER’s size and improve traffic circulation and parking. Strategically located near the main entrance and parking lot, the new department will connect to the existing main lobby and radiology/tomography wing, featuring a separate emergency room entrance and parking lot. The hospital’s exterior will also undergo a transformation, with a curtain wall façade at the main entrance allowing ample natural light into the reception area and a new undulating façade facing Meadowlands Parkway, giving the building a modern appearance. FNA’s role was to provide personnel to perform video documentation of the caisson installation.
