FNA played a pivotal role in the development of 56 Leonard, providing services such as support of excavation, excavation design, construction oversight, and special inspections. The project is characterized by its innovative design concept, resembling a stack of individual houses, each unique and identifiable within the overall structure. This approach allowed for the creation of corners, cantilevers, and balconies, adding diversity to the residential units. By breaking away from the typical repetition seen in high-rise buildings, 56 Leonard stands out as a distinctive addition to the skyline, with its interior “pixels” informing the overall shape and aesthetic of the tower.
